WatchTrivia ("we", "our", or "the app") is a watchOS application developed by Burcu Alparslan. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used.

Data We Collect

We use Amplitude, a third-party analytics service, to collect anonymous usage data. This helps us understand how users interact with the app so we can improve the experience.

The following events are tracked:

• watchtrivia_view_shown — when a user opens the app
• watchtrivia_game_started — when a user starts a new game
• watchtrivia_answer_correct — when a user answers a question correctly
• watchtrivia_answer_wrong — when a user answers a question incorrectly
• watchtrivia_timeout — when a user runs out of time on a question
• watchtrivia_game_over — when a game session ends
• watchtrivia_high_score_beaten — when a user beats their previous high score

None of these events contain personally identifiable information. No names, email addresses, locations, or device identifiers are linked to these events.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email, or any contact information
• We do not directly collect your location. However, Amplitude may derive approximate geographic information (such as country or city) from your IP address as part of their standard analytics processing.
• We do not share your data with advertisers
• We do not sell your data to third parties
• We do not collect health or biometric data

Local Storage

Your high score is stored locally on your device using Apple's standard storage. This data never passes through our servers.

Third-Party Services

Amplitude may automatically collect certain device and network information, including approximate location derived from IP address. This data is governed by Amplitude's privacy policy at amplitude.com/privacy.

Children's Privacy

WatchTrivia does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app contains no user accounts and no personally identifiable data collection.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this document.
