Location Data

We use your device location solely to calculate accurate prayer times and Qibla direction for your area. Location
data is stored locally on your device and is never uploaded to our servers or shared with third parties.

Analytics

We use Amplitude to collect anonymous usage analytics. This helps us understand which features are used most and improve the app. Amplitude may collect:

App usage events (screens viewed, features used)
Device type and OS version
App version
Anonymous session data

Amplitude does not collect your name, email, location, or any personally identifiable information. For more information: amplitude.com/privacy

Notifications

If you enable prayer time or hadith notifications,
we schedule local notifications on your device.
No notification data is sent to external servers.

In-App Purchases

Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple.
We do not collect or store any payment information.

Personal identifiers
Contacts, photos, or media
Browsing history
Precise location beyond what is needed for prayer time calculation

Data Storage

All your data — reading progress, dhikr counts, streak, settings — is stored locally on your device and synced via iCloud Key-Value Store. We do not operate any servers

Aladhan API — Prayer time calculation
Only your coordinates and calculation method are sent
to fetch prayer times. No personal data is transmitted. aladhan.com

Children's Privacy

Watch Quran does not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13.

WatchTrivia ("we", "our", or "the app") is a watchOS application developed by Burcu Alparslan. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used.

Data We Collect

We use Amplitude, a third-party analytics service, to collect anonymous usage data. This helps us understand how users interact with the app so we can improve the experience.

The following events are tracked:

watchtrivia_view_shown — when a user opens the app
watchtrivia_game_started — when a user starts a new game
watchtrivia_answer_correct — when a user answers a question correctly
watchtrivia_answer_wrong — when a user answers a question incorrectly
watchtrivia_timeout — when a user runs out of time on a question
watchtrivia_game_over — when a game session ends
watchtrivia_high_score_beaten — when a user beats their previous high score

None of these events contain personally identifiable information. No names, email addresses, locations, or device identifiers are linked to these events.

Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect your name, email, or any contact information
We do not directly collect your location. However, Amplitude may derive approximate geographic information (such as country or city) from your IP address as part of their standard analytics processing.
We do not share your data with advertisers
We do not sell your data to third parties
We do not collect health or biometric data

Local Storage

Your high score is stored locally on your device using Apple's standard storage. This data never passes through our servers.

Third-Party Services

Amplitude may automatically collect certain device and network information, including approximate location derived from IP address. This data is governed by Amplitude's privacy policy at amplitude.com/privacy.

Children's Privacy

WatchTrivia does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app contains no user accounts and no personally identifiable data collection.
